Josef Vacl has been invited to give lectures and presentations at conferences and seminars.
In February 2024 Josef Vacl participated in the international conference Uplatňování principů inkluze v cestovním ruchu v zemích V4/Application of the principles of inclusion in tourism in V4. It took place in Prague. He presented a paper entitled Možné synergie umělé inteligence a inkluze jako lidské činností v cestovním ruchu/Possible Synergies of Artificial Intelligence and Inclusion as a Human Activity in Tourism. The paper was published in the conference proceedings.
In May 2021, Josef Vacl presented a joint paper by Monika Klímová, Lubomír Kmeco, Josef Vacl from the University of Business in Prague entitled The negative impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the activities of Czech mini-breweries at the TOURMAN 2021 Conference "Restarting tourism, travel and hospitality: the day after" organised by International Hellenic University, Thessaloniki, Greeces. The paper was published in the conference proceedings.
In December 2017, at the 5th Annual international conference on Tourism and Hospitality Research (THoR 2017) held in Singapore, he presented a paper on The Impact of Microbreweries on Travel in the Czech Republic. The conference was organised by the Global Science and Technology Forum. The paper was published in PROCEEDINGS conference and is available, among others, in Scopus. At the same time, the paper was published as an article under the title The Impact of Microbreweries on Travel in the Czech Republic The Impact of Microbreweries on Tourism in the Czech Republic in the journal Kvasný průmysl No. 2, 2018.
In October 2017, he presented a paper at the 27th International Brewery Conference in Prague. Brewery and Malting Days, which took place again in Olomouc, on the topic of Wikipedia and its communication potential. The article was published in the bi-monthly magazine Kvasný průmysl No. 5, 2017. It is available in this section of the website.
In November 2015, he gave a lecture on Motivation of participation in beer and brewery festivals in the Czech Republic at the 26th Brewery and Malt Days held in Olomouc. The essay was published in the monthly magazine Kvasný průmysl No. 10-11, 2015. It is available in this section of the website.
At the gastronomic festival Znojemský hrozen 2014 within the professional seminar for microbreweries Josef Vacl gave a presentation on microbreweries as an attractive tourism destination in the Czech Republic.
In October 2014 Josef Vacl had a presentation focusing on the theme of Microbreweries as Attractive Tourist Destinations in the Czech Republic at the festival of gastronomy Grape of Znojmo (Znojemský hrozen) 2014 within the framework of a specialized seminar for the microbreweries.
In July 2014 the organizers of the international conferences Global Science and Technology Forum selected the presentation of Josef Vacl named Microbreweries as Attractive Tourist Destinations in the Czech Republic to be presented at the BizStrategy Conference - Business Strategy and Organizational Behaviour. He presented it on the 22nd July 2014 at the said conference held in Singapore. The presentation was also published in the conference PROCEEDINGS, and it is available in the Scopus system, among others.
In November 2013, he presented a lecture at the 25th Brewers and Maltsters Days held in Prague, with the theme of Non-traditional forms of communication in the brewing industry and searching for their potential.
In May 2013, Josef Vacl made an appearance at the international conference named Marketing Communication and the Society. The lecture focused on a case study named Communication support of the scientific project of developing a unique manufacturing technology of gluten-free beer and launching the CELIA beer on the market.
In May 2011, Vacl was asked to give a presentation for the students of the Executive MBA Program John Molson School of Business (from Montreal, Canada). His presentation was called Marketing in Eastern/Central Europe - Opportunities and Challenges.
In March 2011, Josef Vacl gave the presentation, Promoting Gluten-Free Beer in the Czech Republic: A Case Study, at the conference Global Paths in Communication and Media Studies organized by University of New York in Prague.
In 2009, he presented the topic, Do Beer Contests Make Sense?, at the 10th Festival of Znojmo Grape 2009. He gave the presentation, Communication and Slow Food Products – A Search for Ways to Connect with Customers, at the seminar of the Slow Food Section at the trade fair HORECA 2009.
In 2009, he gave the presentation, A Beer Celebrity as a Marketing Tool, at the 23rd Beer-Malt Days.
